Newsletter: Last 2 open water day workshops of the summer and practice hours are online
Dear student, former student or Swim in Balance enthusiast,
The new season started yesterday with the open water courses, it was wonderful. The courses in the pool will start again in the coming weeks. We have also organized two extra day workshops, the practice hours are now online and for those who want I have two free tickets for a concert where I (Esther) perform.
Two extra open water day workshops in Spaarnwoude
In addition to the offer in the previous newsletter, two day workshops have been added: the last two of the season. Welcome!
The water is heated throughout the summer and is still pleasant to swim in at the beginning of October. You can borrow wetsuits from us if you wish. The location is a nice place where you can stand and where you can have a nice lunch. Who makes sense? I (Esther) give these workshops myself.

A few more places in the upcoming courses in the swimming pool in Amsterdam
Most courses are now fully booked, but we still have 4 places available in the basic crawl course on Monday evening 21.00 (starts tomorrow!), a few more places in the breaststroke course on Wednesday evening 20.30 (starts Wednesday!), and a few more places in the Water Confidence courses. Who will join last minute?

Practice hours are online
There will be plenty of opportunity in the next block to practice with us. Due to corona it is difficult to find a time lock in other swimming pools, so we have made extra practice hours available in the track next to our lessons in Amsterdam. If you are a student or former student of Swim in Balance (this is a condition!), you can come and swim for 7,50 for an hour: In ideal conditions, on Monday or Wednesday evenings. See the practice hours on the website to make a reservation. Maximum 6 people per job. It is best if you practice at least once a week in between classes, then you will get the most out of the course.
free tickets
As some of you may know, in addition to being the founder of Swim in Balance, I (Esther) is also a professional baroque violinist and Alexander Technique teacher. Tomorrow (!) I will play a concert during the Early Music Festival in Tivoli Vredenburg (Utrecht), as a violinist with the English baroque company 'The Harmonious Society of Tickle-Fiddle Gentlemen'. Program is the Baroque opera Venus and Adonis by the composer Pepusch (1715). If there are baroque lovers among you, I have two free tickets (worth 23 euros) available for students at Swim in Balance. If you want to use this please give your name, then you can pick them up in your name at the checkout.
Trijntje passed!
Two weeks ago, Trijntje Zuiderbaan successfully completed her teacher training at Swim in Balance. Congratulations Trijntje and welcome to our team! Thank you very much to all volunteers who have been trial students during her training.
This fall 3 more teachers will be trained: Lavinia, Tyrone and Olga. I look forward to welcoming them to the team as well. Keep an eye on this newsletter, because there will again be many opportunities for volunteers to be trial students.
Have a great new season, sporty greetings!
Esther and the Swim in Balance teacher team
