Special compact offer in December

Dear students, former students and Swim in Balance enthusiasts,

Last weekend we had a crawl workshop in Driebergen, it was wonderful! (see photo above) The workshop was fully booked, our student teachers assisted very well and we received enthusiastic reactions from the participants. We will do that more often! Next month we will offer a kind of intermediate form between workshops and courses, I will explain it below.

Compact courses

Because we have exactly three weeks left before Christmas and we don't want to leave a gap in the middle of our courses, we have a special offer in December: You can follow a full course in three weeks, divided over 3 fixed evenings (Mon or Wed) of 2 hours each , in Amsterdam. This can be useful for people who cannot easily be available for 6 evenings in a row, for people who live further away, or for people who want to go swimming regularly from January and want to learn a nice technique before Christmas. Refresher course 3 lessons

For people who have already done a course or workshop with us, there is the possibility to refresh your technique during 3 lessons of one hour in December. This can be useful if your course has been around for a while and you want to get some extra tips in specific areas, or if you have just completed a workshop or course and want to get some more pointers. It costs half of a regular course as it is only 3 one hour lessons:

Courses in Utrecht and Haarlem start again in January

Fortunately, after a short break (due to illness of the teachers), everyone is on the mend and from January we can again offer 6-week courses at all our locations:  AmsterdamUtrecht en Haarlem. These courses are now on the website and you can already reserve a place.
I know there are a lot of people waiting for classes to resume in these cities, so here's our message: You can register now! There is so much demand in Haarlem that from January we will even be teaching on two evenings: Thursday and Friday. We look forward to seeing you in the new year.

Welcome!

Since last week our new website went online. We worked hard behind the scenes and the goal was to offer our growing range of courses and workshops in an even more manageable way. On the homepage you can view all upcoming courses per lesson location (now two lesson blocks ahead!) and via the menu you can also filter per swimming stroke. You can now also directly review leave it if you are enthusiastic about the course, workshop or lesson you have followed. You can now also read everything in English (this still needs some improvement… breaststroke is automatically translated as 'school battle', haha).

We are curious how you find the website and whether it is easy to use. If you see anything that could be done even better, we'd love to hear about it, because there are still all kinds of adjustments to be made in the coming weeks and we really appreciate getting tips.

News: Good news! Due to the relaxation announced yesterday, all sports activities can continue again from today. This means that next week we will immediately start with a new series of 6-week courses. We can't wait to be back in the water and teaching.

news: Last week Esther, Lydia and Tyrone passed their teacher training at Swim in Balance with flying colours. This means that we will have 3 very nice teachers from 2022.

12 volunteers wanted as trial student

Over the next two weekends, our 4 trainees (Esther, Lydia, Olga and Tyrone) will receive the last part of their training, before starting as teachers at Swim in Balance in January. They practice teaching groups and they will take a practical exam on December 19.
