One of the locations where we offer open water courses is the Maarsseveense Plassen (near Utrecht). The water quality there is good, you can stand, and there is a comfortable jetty for entering and exiting the water. Toilets are also available there, as well as a small restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat before or after your lesson.

We have wetsuits in all sizes, which you can use during all lessons for 25 euros (total) if you wish; so you don't need to purchase anything and can first see if open water is right for you. In the 6-week courses, you build up the specific swimming stroke (crawl, breaststroke, or butterfly) step by step, while also receiving specific tips for swimming in open water. There are also crawl level 2 courses for people who have already completed the basic course with us and want to refine their stroke in combination with learning to handle the specific characteristics of open water swimming.

On Saturday, July 25, there is a Basic Front Crawl day workshop from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, during which you will learn a beautiful crawl technique throughout the day. On Sunday, July 26, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, there is a Level 2 Front Crawl day workshop where you cover the content of the Level 2 course in one day; this is also very suitable if you want to learn how to apply our technique in open water! You can schedule these two workshops for yourself as a workshop weekend; it is a great combination.

Just like in the swimming pool, we work with groups of a maximum of 8 participants and the teacher is always in the water with you.
